Anodos Foundation was created in memory of Arthur M. Young in November, 1995. Mr. Young was an inventor and philosopher who developed the theory of process, a comprehensive paradigm that can be used to integrate and interpret the facts of science together with the psychological and spiritual realities of consciousness. For many years now, scientists and philosophers alike have recognized that technological advances have propelled society beyond its capacity to comprehend and be responsible for "progress". They have acknowledged the need for a better theoretical framework to help implement and assess growth and development. The theory of process has been shown to have the heuristic power and holistic scope required of such a framework.
The Foundation's goal is to preserve the achievements of Mr. Young and build upon them by finding and supporting applications of the theory of process to current needs in science and society, especially in the areas of education, management, medicine, biology and government. For more, see the ANODOS Activities.
Planned activities of the Anodos Foundation are as follows:
 | Conservation of the primary source material of the work of Arthur M. Young, including publications, audio and video tapes, films, journals, papers and correspondence. Creation of an archive of original documents as the basis of a library accessible to scholars and researchers.
Development of a computerized program designed to be used as an index to the theory of process resources and a guide in responding to inquiries for information or help in understanding and applying the ideas and systems formalized by Mr. Young.
Production of a quarterly newsletter reporting on theory of process
activities worldwide.
Development of training seminars and apprenticeship programs to produce
teachers and consultants in the theory of process. |
